Fuchsite/Aotea Stone Necklace
Fuchsite/Aotea Stone Necklace – Collected in the Hokitika Region, New Zealand
An extraordinarily rare and beautiful necklace featuring Aotea Stone — a remarkable New Zealand mineral composed of a unique mix of fuchsite, quartz, kyanite, and other rare minerals. This stone was personally collected in the Hokitika region of the West Coast while filming Outback Crystal Hunters, making it a piece with a true story behind it.
We've only found one piece of this material, and were able to make just four polished necklaces from it. So far, only four exist in our collection — this is one of, if not the rarest material we've found.
Aotea Stone is considered to be up to 1,000 times rarer than jade, making it one of the most extraordinary minerals found anywhere in New Zealand. Its rarity, combined with its stunning natural appearance, makes this necklace a truly exceptional collector's piece and a remarkable gift.
Each stone displays a captivating blend of colours and mineral structures — the result of millions of years of geological activity unique to Aotearoa's West Coast. No two pieces are alike.
